She trained as a telenevola Actress at Mexico City's Centro de Educación Artística. She made her soap opera debut in 2001 as Lorena in El Juego de la Vida.
In 2013, she was cast in the title role in a Telemundo series called Camelia, la Texana.
She and her three siblings grew up in Veracruz, Mexico. She was later briefly married to film Producer Billy Rovzar.
She and Kate Del Castillo both acted in a telenovela titled La Reina del Sur telenovela.
