He discovered his love of performing at New Mexico State University, where he was a part of a production of Of Mice and Men and earned an award for his performance.

His full name is Anthony C. Baker; he moved to the south side of Chicago at a young age. His brother Keenan Baker is also a Comedian. He has two sons named Cencere and Cerain with his ex-wife.
