Pop singer who won Swedish Idol at the age of sixteen. After a five-year break from music, she returned in 2015 with her full-length album Kiddo and a new approach to fashion, an affinity for feminist messages in her songs, and a new public persona.
After winning Swedish Idol, she was was sold to the public as a stereotypical, overly sexualized, sweet pop Princess in skimpy clothes and a lot of make up.
Kiddo was her first full-length album released in the US. She attended South By South West festival in Austin in March 2015 to promote it and embarked on a small American tour following.
She was born in Umea, Sweden, but relocated to Stockholm for her music career. She has an older sister as well as a younger sister.
Her 2015 feminist pop album's content and messages were compared to those of Beyoncé in her 2013 self-produced, self-titled, surprise album.
