Ziyavudin Magomedov was born on September 25, 1968 in Moscow, Russia, Russia. Ziyaudin Magomedov is chairman of Summa Group, a conglomerate invested in port logistics, engineering, construction, telecommunications, and oil and gas. He founded the company together with his older brother and junior partner, Magomed Magomedov, a former member of the Federation Council, the upper house of Russia's parliament. In the early 1990s the brothers worked in banking. Later they became shareholders of the port in Primorsk on the Baltic Sea. In January 2011 Summa, together with state-controlled oil pipeline company Transneft, bought a 50.1% stake in the port in Novorossiysk. In late 2012 Summa bought a controlling stake in FESCO (Far Eastern Shipping Company). Summa has rebuilt the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. He became a board member of U.S. transport outfit Hyperloop One in October 2016; his Caspian Venture Capital Fund has invested tens millions of dollars in company.

1968

Ziyavudin Magomedov was born in 1968 in Makhachkala, Dagestan. In 1993 he earned a bachelor's degree in international economics from Moscow State University. In 2000, he received a PhD in international economics, also from Moscow State University.

1994

From 1994 to 1998, Magomedov was the President of IFC - Interfinance.

2006

In 2006, "Slavia" controlled by Magomedov, bought 76% of shares of "Yakutgazprom" for 628.5 million rubles. In 2006, "Summa Telecom" controlled by Magomedov received frequencies in the 2.5-2.7 GHz band for the provision of wireless Technology WiMax throughout Russia.

2007

Magomedov denies the charges, but a Moscow court ruled on 31 March 2018 that he will remain in pre-trial custody, without bail, until 30 May 2018.
