Famous for her time as the 36th Vice President of Argentina. She assumed office in December 2015 as part of the Mauricio Macri presidential administration, and became the second ever female Vice President of Argentina.
She earned her bachelor's degree in international relations from Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires in 1998. She began her political career in Argentina as the Deputy Mayor of Buenos Aires in 2007.
She served as a National Deputy from Buenos Aires between December 2009 and 2013. She subsequently became a national Senator from Buenos Aires between 2013 and 2016.
She has one son named Lautaro. Her parents' names are Mario and Martha.
She became the second-ever female Vice President of Argentina, after Isabel Martinez Deperon.
