Award-winning Producer and Actress known as the mind behind the incredibly popular youth shows Chiquititas, Rebelde Way, and Aliados, amongst others. She is also an established Composer, creating the music for shows like Brigada Cola, Ritmo de la Noche, and Videomatch.
At seventeen, she began her career as a model for Lee Jeans. She then spent almost twenty years acting and presenting on television shows in Argentina. She got her start in acting as Laura Morena in the 1979 telenovela Dulce Fugitiva. It was after this role that she took on her stage name, Cris Morena.
She captained a number of staged musicals based on her television productions including one based on Chiquititas and Argentine performances of Broadway productions like Spring Awakening.
She was born María Cristina De Giacomi in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her daughter Romina died at 36 and her son Tomás Yankelevich is a Producer and Director for Telefe.
Actors Peter Lanzani and Pablo Martinez joined the cast of her show Aliados after their appearances on Casi Angeles.
