In 2009, Wei decided to sign a record deal with Linfair Records. Wei released his first EP on 13 March 2009, titled Slowly Wait (慢慢等). It consists of two tracks 'Slowly Wait' (慢慢等) and Good Weather (好天氣). Both songs were fan favourites from StreetVoice. He began promoting his EP by touring 14 live houses in Taiwan.
