On May 3 at Wrestling Dontaku 2013, Anderson faced Hiroshi Tanahashi in another high-profile match, but was again defeated. After the match, Anderson turned heel by joining Prince Devitt, Bad Luck Fale, and Tama Tonga in attacking Tanahashi. The new group was subsequently named "Bullet Club".
